plans variety of homecoming events Homecoming 2007 is being
celebrated this week at the University of Indianapolis, with
a variety of activities for students, alumni and local
residents of all ages. Kickoff is 6 p.m.
Saturday in Key Stadium as the 4-1 Greyhounds face the
Chargers of Michigan's Hillsdale College. Admission is $6
for adults, $4 for children. Halftime will feature the
crowning of the homecoming king and queen as well as a
scrimmage among players of the Boys & Girls Clubs
football league. A fireworks show will
follow the game at approximately 9 p.m. After the fireworks,
comedians Justin Schlegel and J. Chris Newberg will perform
on UIndy's Smith Mall. Before the game, families
can enjoy the H.H. Gregg Fun Zone and OneAmerica Street
Party from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the university's
Tailgate Town, located east of Key Stadium at the northeast
corner of Hanna Avenue and State Street. Attractions will include
a giant slide, Velcro Olympics, a bungee run and other
activities for kids. A picnic meal will be available for $10
for adults, $6 for children. Picnic/game combo tickets can
be purchased for $15 for adults, $8 for children.
Other highlights this
week include the 8 p.m. Friday opening of the Department of
Theatre's first production of the season, the humorous
melodrama Caught in The Villain's Web: or More Sinned
Against Than Sinning. For more information
